I purchased a used differential for my VW Golf equipped with the 01M automatic transmission, and I’m honestly impressed with how well it worked out. Buying second-hand transmission components can be hit or miss, but this one was in surprisingly good condition. The part arrived clean, with no visible damage or excessive wear on the gears. Fitment was perfect — bolted right into place without any issues. After installation, everything ran smoothly: no whining, clunking, or signs of uneven wear. I’ve put a few hundred miles on it so far, and it’s been quiet and reliable. Given how hard it can be to source parts for the 01M these days, especially at a decent price, this used differential turned out to be a great find. I'd definitely recommend checking second-hand options like this if you're trying to keep an older VW on the road without breaking the bank.
